“A ‛hăpăx’ is a singularity, a thing that only happens once. That’s how I think of this music. It’s composed along more or less classical lines, but the style is hard to pin down. Genre-fluid? Between the cracks? Jazz/progressive/post-European dance? Any label you pick is fine with me. I just hope you enjoy the music, and can share some of my happiness in writing it.”

Hăpăx

a new instrumental work by J. Morris

J. Morris

Hăpăx is a four-movement recorded piece of vivid and varied textures. Modeled on a small chamber group, the ensemble includes flute, electric guitar, percussion, and keyboards, along with a wide spectrum of sampled and invented wind and brass sonorities.
